You see, Abhishek’s mother Jaya Bachchan is into politics, and she has been a member of parliament since 2004. It seems the rumours started swirling in conjunction to his mother being engaged politics. Interestingly, Amitabh Bachchan was also a politician, but he left it. However, Abhishek dismissed the rumours right away.

Instead, Abhishek claimed that he might impersonate a politician on-screen, but in real life, it’s a big no. “I will never get into it,” he had stated. We don’t know what led to the rumors after a decade again now. But Abhishek has been vocal about not wanting to join politics.
