New Coordinator : The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee’s (KPCC) NRI cell has made significant appointments to bolster its presence in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district.

Anwar Manil, a seasoned expatriate Kannadiga residing in Dubai, UAE, has been named as the coordinator of the DK district social media committee.

This decision, greenlit by KPCC chief D K ShivakumarD K Shivakumar, aims to strengthen the party’s outreach and engagement with the NRI community.

Adding to the leadership cadre, Dr. Arati Krishna, the vice-chairman of the NRI Forum of the Government of Karnataka, has been entrusted with the role of chairperson of the KPCC NRI Cell.

These appointments underscore the party’s commitment to harnessing the support and contributions of overseas Indians in furthering its objectives.

Anwar Manil brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having been an active Congress party activist for over a decade.

During his seventeen-year tenure in Dubai, he has passionately championed the party’s causes and initiatives, particularly in the realm of social media advocacy.

Notably, he is a member of both the Indian National Congress Supporters Organization (INCAS) and IOC Congress.

In 2019, Manil played a pivotal role as a member of the publicity committee for the ‘Mahatma Gandhi 150 Years’ program, graced by the presence of former AICC president Rahul Gandhi in the UAE.

His dedication and proficiency in leveraging digital platforms for political messaging make him a valuable asset to the KPCC NRI Cell as it seeks to expand its digital footprint and connect with voters across borders.
